Croatia: Consumer prices drop at fastest pace since September 2016 in annual terms in December
Consumer prices dropped 0.58% from the previous month in December, following Novembers 0.29% drop and logging the sharpest fall in prices since January 2019. Decembers result was chiefly driven by a sharper fall in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and clothing and footwear.
Consumer prices slid 0.7% year-on-year in December, following November´s 0.2% decline, marking the sharpest drop since September 2016. Accordingly, annual average inflation ticked down to 0.2% in December (November: 0.3%).
