Croatia: Industrial production growth decelerates in November

November 30, 2015

In November, industrial output rose 2.7% over the same month last year in working-day adjusted terms, which was below October’s 6.4% increase and marked a three-month low. The deceleration reflected a strong downturn in electricity, gas and steam production, which more than offset an improvement in mining and quarrying.

On a monthly basis, industrial production in November fell 0.8% in seasonally-adjusted terms, which contrasted October’s 0.9% increase. However, the overall trend remained stable in November at October’s 2.8%.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to expand 2.5% in 2016, which is unchanged from last month’s estimate. In 2017, the panel sees industrial production growth at 2.9%.
