Costa Rica: Inflation makes a comeback in September
Consumer prices increased 0.27% over the previous month in September, up from August’s flat reading. The figure was primarily driven by sharper growth in prices for transport, as well as for cultural services.
Consumer prices rose 0.3% on an annual basis in September, swinging from the 0.1% decline recorded in August. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 1.0% in September (August: 1.2%).
