Colombia: Industrial output growth softens in September
Industrial output expanded 15.5% in annual terms in September, moderating from August’s 22.9% and marking the softest pace of growth in four months. Looking at the details of the press release, 37 of the 39 total subsectors logged expanding output, matching August’s result. September’s slowdown was largely attributed to beverage production and clothing manufacturing output growing at more moderate paces.
However, the trend pointed up, with annual average variation of industrial production growth rising to 12.2% in September from 10.5% in August.
