Colombia: Consumer confidence improves again in August but remains pessimistic
The Fedesarrollo consumer confidence came in at minus 25.4 in August, markedly above July’s minus 32.7. Nevertheless, the index remained below the 0-point threshold and still indicated pessimism among consumers.
August’s increase reflected a broad-based improvement across the indicator components. Notably, consumers’ assessment of their current financial situation turned less pessimistic, while households turned optimistic over the general economic situation in 12 months.
