Chile: Inflation falls to lowest level since October 2019 in June
Consumer prices fell a seasonally-adjusted 0.07% over the previous month in June, a slightly milder decrease than May’s 0.10% drop. The reading was largely driven by falling prices for transport and healthcare.
Inflation came in at 2.6% in June, down from May’s 2.8% print. June’s reading marked the weakest inflation rate since October 2019. Meanwhile, the trend was unchanged with annual average inflation coming in at May’s 2.9% in June. Lastly, core inflation fell to 2.0% from May’s 2.1%.
