March 5, 2019

According to the IMACEC index, economic activity rose 2.4% year-on-year in January, moderating from December’s 2.6% rise. The Central Bank sees growth at between 3.3%–4.3% in 2019 and between 2.8%–3.8% in 2020. FocusEconomics panelists project growth of 3.3% in 2019, unchanged from last month’s forecast, and 3.1% in 2020.
