Brazil: Business confidence hits over decade-high in December
The Getulio Vargas Foundation’s (FGV, Fundação Getúlio Vargas) industrial business confidence index rose to 114.9 in December from November’s 113.1 and marked the best reading since June 2010. As such, the index moved further above the 100-point threshold, indicating optimism among businesses.
The headline print reflected both an improvement in firms’ views of the current economic situation and of the future economic situation.
