Belarus: Inflation moderates in March
Consumer prices increased 0.69% in March over the previous month, coming in below the 1.94% rise logged in February. March’s downtick came amid significantly lower price increases for food and services. However, the non-food goods group saw an acceleration in price growth from the previous month.
Inflation ticked down to 8.5% in March, from February’s 8.7%. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 6.5% in March (February: 6.1%).
