Belarus: Industrial output records lowest growth since July in December
Industrial output grew 7.7% in year-on-year terms in December, which was a deterioration from November’s 7.9% increase. The result marked the worst reading since July. December’s reading was largely driven by a deterioration in manufacturing production growth, as it expanded at the slowest pace since July. In addition, mining and quarrying production weakened.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 13.8% in December (November: +12.3%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
