Argentina: Inflation rises in December
Consumer prices surged 4.00% over the last month in December, above the 3.16% jump logged in November and the fastest increase in over one year. In December, the sharpest increases in prices were recorded for healthcare, recreation and culture and for transport.
Inflation increased to 36.1% in December from November’s 35.8%, which had marked the softest print since August 2018. Annual average inflation fell to 42.7% in December (November: 44.1%).
