Argentina: Consumer confidence rises in October
The Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT) consumer confidence increased to 45.1 in October from 43.4 in September. Consequently, the index remained entrenched below the 50-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism among consumers.
Consumers grew less pessimistic over their future financial situations. Moreover, their willingness to purchase big ticket items strengthened. Conversely, consumers’ expectations over the general economic conditions in the year ahead worsened.
