Angola: Inflation hits highest level in three years in December

Consumer prices increased 2.19% from the previous month in December, largely in line with the 2.14% rise seen in November. December’s uptick marked the sharpest increase in prices since September 2018. The print reflected greater price pressures for housing being partly offset by a softer rise clothing and footwear.

Inflation inched up to 25.2% in December, slightly above November’s 24.9%. December’s figure was the highest inflation rate since December 2017.
