Imports in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan Imports (%) | Economic News & Forecasts

Kyrgyzstan - Imports (percent change)

The economy will have deteriorated further in the second quarter, hit by fallout from the coronavirus pandemic. Lockdown measures abroad, particularly in Russia, will have continued to pummel remittance inflows, which contracted sharply in March–April. Meanwhile, containment measures at home have constrained domestic demand and government revenues. However, most restrictions were lifted as of 1 June, allowing all sectors to restart activity, while international flights resumed on 15 June. Meanwhile, on 15 June, Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev resigned following allegations that the government illegally sold radio frequencies. A new government was sworn in on 30 June, with Kubatbek Boronov, the former deputy, as the new prime minister.
