United Arab Emirates: Inflation falls in September

Consumer prices fell 0.61% in September from the previous month, contrasting August’s 0.15% rise. September’s reading was largely driven by lower prices for housing, water, electricity and gas; transportation; and recreation and culture.

Inflation fell markedly from 3.9% in August to 3.1% in September, while annual average inflation increased from 3.2% in August to 3.4% in September.

United Arab Emirates Inflation Forecast

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast participants expect inflation to average 2.5% in 2019 and 2.6% in 2020.
