Consumer prices rose 1.4% month-on-month in November, down slightly from October’s 1.7% increase. According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the result was largely driven by higher prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels as well as for miscellaneous goods and services.
Inflation rose to 10.0% in November, from 9.5% in October, marking a six-month high and moving further above the Central Bank’s 6.5% plus or minus 2.0 percentage points target range. Meanwhile, annual average inflation continued to fall in November, coming in at an 18-month low of 11.3% (October: 11.6%).
