Ukraine: Industrial production falls in November
According to data released by the Statistical Institute, industrial production fell 0.9% year-on-year in November, swinging from a 1.4% increase in October. The result reflected a contraction in mining and quarrying production as well as manufacturing output, which more than offset output growth in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector.
Annual average growth in industrial output slowed to 1.3% in November from 1.5% in October. Looking at sequential data, industrial production dropped 2.1% month-on-month in November, in contrast to a solid 10.0% increase in the previous month.
