Thailand: Manufacturing production dips in February

Manufacturing output fell 0.3% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in February, which contrasted January's 0.4% increase.

On an annual basis, manufacturing output fell 1.1% in February, moderating from January’s 2.0% fall. Moreover, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average variation of manufacturing production coming in at minus 8.8%, up from January's minus 9.1% reading.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect manufacturing output to grow 8.0% in 2021, which is down 0.1 percentage points from last month’s estimate, and increase 7.1% in 2022.
