Switzerland: Inflation steady in April
Consumer prices rose 0.2% on a month-on-month basis in April, coming in slightly below March’s 0.4% increase. April’s print reflected higher prices for petroleum products, package travel abroad and airfares, which more than offset price declines for accommodation, and fruits and vegetables.
Inflation remained steady in April at the three-month high of 0.8% recorded in March. Meanwhile, annual average inflation was unchanged in April at 0.6%.
