Sweden: Inflation steady in October

Consumer prices with a fixed interest rate dropped 0.04% over the previous month in October, swinging from September’s 0.07% increase. Looking at the details of the release, the slight drop was primarily due to falling prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels.

Inflation remained at 0.3% in October, unchanged from September’s reading which had represented the lowest inflation rate since May. Annual average inflation ticked down to 0.7% in October (September: 0.8%).
