Slovakia: Inflation edges down in November

December 14, 2020

Consumer prices inched up 0.10% in November, matching October’s increase. November’s rise was largely attributed to a rebound in prices for transport, as well as higher growth in prices for recreation and culture.

Inflation came in at 1.5% in November, below October’s 1.6%. Accordingly, annual average inflation edged down to 2.1% (October: 2.2%). Lastly, harmonized inflation came in at 1.6% in November, matching October’s reading.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect harmonized inflation to average 1.6% in 2021, which is unchanged from last month’s estimate, and 2.0% in 2022.
