Poland: Industrial output slows in September

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), industrial production expanded 2.8% in September over the same month a year prior, easing from August’s 5.0% reading on weaker gains in manufacturing. Mining and quarrying, meanwhile, accelerated from a month earlier, as did the utilities supply.

Moreover, annual average growth in industrial output came in at 6.8%, down from 7.0% in August.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to increase 4.9% in 2019, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2020, the panel again expects industrial production to expand 4.9%.
