Poland: Industrial output growth wanes in February
Industrial production increased 17.6% year-on-year in February, easing from January’s 19.2% rise. The slowdown was largely due to a deterioration in mining and quarrying production growth. In contrast, manufacturing output picked up pace.
On a monthly basis, factory output increased 1.1% in seasonally-adjusted terms in February, which was significantly below January’s 4.2% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend improved sizably, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 19.6%, up from January’s 18.1%.
