Mexico: Consumer confidence picks up in October

Consumer confidence came in at 43.6 in October, up from September's 43.4. October’s rise was driven by improved sentiment regarding consumers’ personal financial situation and the general economic situation. However, consumers grew slightly less willing to make major purchases.

Panelists participating in this month’s LatinFocus Consensus Forecast project private consumption to increase 6.6% in 2021, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast, and 3.3% in 2022, down 0.1 percentage points from last month.
