Greece: Industrial production rebounds in May
July 10, 2014
In May, industrial production rose a working-day adjusted 1.8% over the same month last year, which contrasted the 2.1% contraction recorded in April. The figure was driven by an improvement in mining and quarrying, in manufacturing and in water supply. On a monthly basis, industrial production rose 4.05% in seasonally-adjusted terms, which was well up from the 0.87% increase observed in the previous month.
As a result of May’s increase, annual average variation in industrial production rose from minus 2.8% in April to minus 2.2%.
