Greece: Industrial production growth picks up in January
Industrial production rose 3.4% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in January, following December’s revised 1.3% expansion (previously reported: +1.1% year-on-year). January’s acceleration was largely driven by a rebound in manufacturing production and larger output gains in the electricity supply sector compared to the previous month.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production dipped 3.0% in January, following the 1.4% drop logged in December. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production edged up from 1.0% in December to 1.4% in January.
