Greece: Industrial output growth gains momentum in March
Industrial output rose 5.5% year-on-year in March (February: +4.3% yoy). March’s pick up was broad-based, with manufacturing, electricity supply and water supply sub-sectors all gaining steam. Meanwhile, mining and quarrying output fell at a softer pace than in the previous month.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose 2.3% in March (February: -2.3% s.a. mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.6%, up from February’s minus 1.1%.
