Seasonally-adjusted industrial output increased 0.3% month-on-month in July, contrasting the 2.3% drop recorded in June. Notably, a rise in manufacturing output largely drove June’s upturn. Meanwhile, mining, quarrying and utilities production, as well as construction output, contracted.
On an annual basis, industrial production fell 0.2% in July (June: -0.1% year-on-year). Meanwhile, the annual average variation in industrial production inched down to 0.1% in July, from 0.2% a month prior.
