February 24, 2021
Business confidence rose to 97 in February from January's 96, marking the strongest reading since March 2020. As such, the index moved closer to the 100-threshold, which represents its long-term average.
With regard to demand, firms’ personal production expectations improved from the previous month as did their general production expectations. Moreover, firms perception of new export order books as well as overall order books turned less pessimistic in February. That said, employment intentions deteriorated in February compared to the previous month.
