Egypt: Inflation decelerates in November
In November, urban consumer prices fell 0.76% from the previous month, contrasting October’s 2.59% increase. November’s result was mainly on the back of lower prices for fruits and vegetables, after they were more expensive in September and October due to seasonal factors and temporary supply shocks.
Urban inflation decelerated to 15.7% in November from 17.7% in October. Urban core inflation slowed to 7.9% in November from 8.9% in October. Meanwhile, annual average inflation moderated to 15.2% in November from 15.9% in October.
