Denmark: Inflation edges lower in April

According to Statistics Denmark, consumer prices increased 0.3% in April over the prior month, up from the 0.1% rise registered in March. The expansion reflected higher prices for transportation, housing, and recreation and culture.

Inflation ticked down to 1.0% in April from 1.2% in March. Meanwhile, annual average inflation was stable at March’s 1.0%.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect inflation to average 1.1% in 2019, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2020, panelists project inflation to average 1.5%.
