Denmark: Business confidence hits over seven-year high in October
Business confidence jumped to a 91-month high of 10.0 in October, up from September’s 3.0. Consequently, the index moved further above the 0-point threshold, separating optimism from pessimism among businesses.
The upturn was largely due to firms’ markedly more optimistic views regarding production expectations, while they turned less sour regarding order backlogs. Meanwhile, sentiment in the construction and services sectors was unchanged in October at September’s optimistic levels, while sentiment in the retail sector turned less pessimistic.
