Croatia: Decline in industrial output softens in April

Industrial production decreased 1.4% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in April (March: -1.9% yoy).

On a monthly basis, factory output dropped 1.5% in seasonally-adjusted terms in April, which was below March’s 1.4% fall and marking the worst result since May 2021. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 4.2% in April, down from March's 5.7%.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists project industrial output to increase 4.2% in 2022, which unchanged from last month’s projection. For 2023, the panel projects industrial output to expand 3.8%.
