Costa Rica: Economic activity growth falls to over one-year low in September
Economic activity grew 1.7% in September (August: +4.4%). September’s result marked the worst reading since February 2021. September’s notable deterioration came on the back of slowdowns in mining, manufacturing, transport and hospitality as well as a steeper contraction in construction.
Meanwhile, annual average economic activity growth fell to 6.3% in September (August: +7.1%), pointing to a worsening trend.
