Colombia: Inflation falls to lowest level since December 2013 in July
Consumer prices were unchanged over the previous month in July, following the 0.38% drop recorded in June. Rising prices for several categories including transport, healthcare, and hotels and restaurants were balanced out largely by a fall in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation dropped to 2.0% in July, from June’s 2.2%. July’s reading marked the lowest inflation rate since December 2013. Annual average inflation edged down to 3.4% in July (June: 3.6%). Lastly, core inflation was unchanged coming in at June’s 2.3% in July.
