Bulgaria: Industrial production slumps in November
Industrial production decreased 0.4% year-on-year in November, after increasing 1.8% in October. Meanwhile, average annual growth in industrial output logged 0.7%, down from 0.9% the month prior and notching the weakest reading in over five years.
November’s slump reflected a sharper contraction in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector, combined with slowing expansion rates for both the mining and manufacturing industries. In seasonally-adjusted terms, industrial output dropped 1.0% month-on-month in November (October: +1.0% month-on-month).
