Bulgaria: Industrial production decelerates in May
Industrial output rose 0.6% in working day-adjusted annual terms in May, following the 2.7% expansion logged in April. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial output remained stable at April’s 1.9%.
May’s uptick reflected a notable increase in production in the mining and quarrying industry, which more than offset soft declines in output in the manufacturing and utilities sectors.
In seasonally-adjusted terms, industrial output was flat on a monthly basis in May, following April’s 1.6% month-on-month contraction.
