In August, industrial production fell a seasonally-adjusted 3.5% from the previous month, which contrasted the revised 1.8% registered in July (previously reported: +1.9% month-on-month) and represented an eight-month low. FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial output to expand 2.9% in 2016, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2017, the panel sees industrial production growth slowing to 2.3%, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month’s forecast.
