Belarus: Inflation steady in July

Consumer prices increased 0.19% from the previous month in July, stable from June's result. July’s reading was due to mild increase in prices of services and non-food goods, which contrasted lower food prices.

Inflation came in at 5.2% in July. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 5.0% in July (June: 5.1%).

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast participants project inflation will average 6.0% in 2020, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast, and 5.7% in 2021.
