Belarus: Industrial production stays muted in March
Industrial production grew 0.9% year-on-year in the January-March period, matching January-February’s result. In turn, annual average growth in industrial output dropped to an almost two-year-low of 3.6%, from 4.1% the previous month.
The weak industrial-sector turnout reflected a fall in utilities supply and a deceleration in mining and quarrying. On a brighter note, manufacturing activity gained steam in March.
