Belarus: Industrial output growth edges up in November

Industrial production expanded 3.1% year-on-year in November, up from 2.8% in October. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production fell to 5.9% in November, from 6.2% in the previous month.
Industrial production rose 6.1% year-on-year in the January–November period (January–October: +6.4% year-on-year). The print reflected robust growth in the manufacturing sector, which rose 6.2% in annual terms, down from the 6.4% increase logged in the previous month. In addition, electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply increased 7.1% year-on-year in the same period.
Belarus Industrial Production Forecast
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists project that industrial production will expand 4.3% in 2019, which is down 0.5 percentage points from last month’s projection. For 2020, panelists expect industrial production to rise 4.0%.
