Belarus: Industrial output drops at sharpest pace since November 2015 in April

Industrial production nosedived 7.1% year-on-year in April (March: -1.5% year-on-year). April's figure marked the sharpest drop since November 2015.

Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.7%, down from March's plus 0.1%.

FocusEconomics panelists project that industrial production will shrink 5.8% in 2020, which is down 2.9 percentage points from last month’s projection. In 2021, industrial output is seen increasing 0.2%.
