Wool Price Outlook

Wool prices moderated in recent weeks, as the global demand outlook deteriorated. The Russia-Ukraine war and Covid-19 lockdowns in China bruised buyers’ sentiment. In April, wool prices averaged AUD 1,370 cents per kilogram, which was 2.2% lower than March's price and was up 4.8% from the same month last year. Moreover, on 29 April, wool traded at AUD 1,377 cents per kilogram, which was up 0.2% from the same day of the previous month.
