Exports in Iran

Iran - Exports
The economy has likely expanded at a robust pace so far this year, aided by a roughly 17% rise in annual oil production amid strong Chinese demand for the commodity. Moreover, surging oil prices could be supporting government spending. However, extremely high inflation and elevated unemployment will be weighing on non-oil activity. In politics, nuclear deal talks remained stalled due to disagreement between Iran and the U.S. Moreover, time is running out, as Iran edges ever closer to acquiring nuclear weapons, with an EU envoy travelling to Tehran in early May in a last-ditch bid to break the deadlock. More positively, the government recently reached a deal with Qatar regarding collaboration during the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup. This could see a boost to tourism flows to Iran later this year.Iran - Exports Data
