Exchange Rate in Georgia
Inflation plunged to 2.7% in April from March’s 5.3%, marking the lowest reading since December 2020 amid a broad-based cooling. Falling inflation prompted the Central Bank to cut its key policy rate by 50 basis points to 10.50% on 10 May. Price pressures should remain relatively subdued in the second half of this year compared to the same period in 2022.
