Slovenia: Industrial output records quickest growth since June in November

Industrial output increased 10.1% compared to the same month of the previous year in November, which followed October's 3.4% increase. November's print marked the best result since June. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing production gained steam in November, while mining and quarrying output also gained steam. Meanwhile, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply production dropped.

On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose at a faster rate of 2.8% in November (October: +0.7% mom), the best result since October 2020. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 9.8% in November (October: +8.9%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists project industrial production to grow 5.6% in 2022, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2023, the panel projects industrial output will expand 4.0%.
