Kazakhstan: Industrial sector grows at the fastest pace in 13-months in June
Industrial production grew 5.9% in June, the highest reading in over a year and rebounding from May’s 1.6% contraction. A breakdown of industrial activities showed that the upturn came chiefly on the back of a recovery in mining output and faster growth in supply of electricity, gas and steam. In contrast, manufacturing output slowed, while supply of water, sewerage systems and waste management swung to contraction.
Annual average growth in industrial production rose to 2.9% in June from 2.7% in May.
