Israel Economic Sentiment October 2019

Israel: Business and consumer sentiment sour in October

November 14, 2019

Confidence among Israeli households worsened from minus 9 in September to minus 10 in October. The drop in sentiment was driven by a less upbeat outlook regarding the general economy and households’ own economic situation.

Meanwhile, business sentiment fell from 26 in September to 22 in October, likely driven in part by ongoing political gridlock.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect private consumption to grow 3.2% in 2020 and 3.3% in 2021. Our panelists see fixed investment rising 2.4% in 2020 and 3.2% in 2021.
