Hungary: Inflation rises in June

Consumer prices increased 0.40% in June over the previous month, matching May’s result. This month’s reading largely reflected higher prices for consumer durables and services, while food prices decreased.

Inflation rose to 2.9% in June, from May’s 2.2%. Meanwhile, annual average inflation ticked down to 3.3% in June (May: 3.4%). Core inflation was stable at the previous month’s 4.0%.
