Denmark Industrial production July 2021

Denmark: Industrial output rebounds in July

September 7, 2021

Industrial output increased 3.4% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in July, which contrasted June's 4.3% decrease. The result was largely due to a rebound in the production of non-durable consumer goods and the investment goods industry.

On a seasonally- and calendar-adjusted annual basis, factory output rose 13.6% in July, significantly above June’s 3.0% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend improved sizable, with annual average industrial production growth increasing to 2.9% in July (June: 0.9%).

FocusEconomics panelists projects that industrial production will increase 6.1% in 2021, which is down 0.7 percentage points from last month’s projection, and to expand 4.0% in 2022.
